Volleyball Recap: Central Takes a Loss

If Central was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Northland Christian on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Indians took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Staley Falcons on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost five in a row.

While Central ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 20-25, 25-19, 25-17.

Despite the loss, Central saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Dominick Hapner had 14 digs and one assist.

Central's defeat dropped their record down to 22-13. As for Staley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 23-10-1.

Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Staley, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Park Hill on the 20th.
