Baseball Recap: Coronado Comes Up Short

Coronado was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 19-9 to the Tempe Buffaloes. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Buffaloes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-1 last Tuesday.

Naem Pacheco was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Coronado's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Tempe, their victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-9.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Coronado will take on rival Dysart at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Tempe is set to face off against their familiar foe Desert Sunrise at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
