Basketball Game Preview: Spencerport Rangers vs. Webster Schroeder Warriors

Spencerport hasn't had much luck against Webster Schroeder recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Spencerport Rangers will venture away from home to take on the Webster Schroeder Warriors at 7:15 p.m. Spencerport has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Spencerport is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They wrapped up 2024 with an 82-68 win over Greece Odyssey.

Meanwhile, Webster Schroeder was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 61-59 heartbreaker at the hands of Webster Thomas. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 227th, while the Titans are ranked 61st).

Spencerport's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Webster Schroeder, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Spencerport skirted past Webster Schroeder 61-58 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Spencerport since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
