Plainfield South is 2-8 against Minooka since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Plainfield South Cougars will host the Minooka Indians at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Plainfield South will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Oswego, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Plainfield South came out on top against Oswego by a score of 64-56 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

Meanwhile, Minooka entered their tilt with Joliet West on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They secured a 46-41 W over the Tigers. The win was all the more spectacular given the Indians' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 214th, while the Tigers are ranked 69th).

Plainfield South has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points per game. As for Minooka, they pushed their record up to 12-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.
