Au Gres-Sims had won six straight games and Sophie Fox did her part to make it seven on Wednesday. The Au Gres-Sims Wolverines came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 40-34 W against the Hale Eagles thanks in part to Fox, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds. She has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played.

Ariel Johnson was another key player, putting up two points and five steals. That's the most steals she has posted since back in January of 2024.

Au Gres-Sims' victory bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Hale, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 16-7 record.

Au Gres-Sims has already played their next game, a 55-41 defeat against Mio-Au Sable on the 7th. Hale does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
