Volleyball Recap: Big Sandy Comes Up Short

Big Sandy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Maud Cardinals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-20, 25-8.

Big Sandy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Maud, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Big Sandy will take on East Texas Homeschool Sports in a tournament on Friday. As for Maud, they will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Trinity Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
