Basketball Game Preview: Pleasantville Trojans vs. Albia Blue Demons

The Pleasantville Trojans will head out to take on the Albia Blue Demons at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Albia will be up against a hot Pleasantville team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Pleasantville took down Woodward Academy 71-52 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Albia entered their tilt with Davis County on Tuesday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 60-50.

Pleasantville now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Albia, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-2.

Pleasantville didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Albia in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 60-55 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pleasantville since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
