Softball Recap: Post Extends Winning Streak to Three

Post entered their tilt with Tahoka on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with an 8-4 win over the Bulldogs. This was a revenge game for the Antelopes: when they faced off against the Bulldogs back in March, they had to take a 16-10 defeat.

Hannah Abraham spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on six hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Serenity Sanchez, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one run. Another player making a difference was Azuray Landa, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Post now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Tahoka, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Post will face off against Seagraves at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tahoka, they will square off against Morton at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs are facing the Indians at the right time seeing as the Indians are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
