Basketball Recap: Plevna Comes Up Short

If Plevna was riding high fresh off their 45-25 takedown of Lambert/Richey last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Plevna Cougars lost 71-46 to the Beach Buccaneers on Friday. The Cougars were not able to make up for their loss to the Buccaneers from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Plevna has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Beach, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Plevna will venture away from home to face off against Wibaux at 5:30 p.m. on January 18th. As for Beach, they will head out on the road to take on Hettinger/Scranton at 7:00 p.m. on January 17th.
