After a string of three wins, Hillbrook's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Apostles Lutheran Falcons by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in March.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Hillbrook sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-0, 0-25, 15-0.

Hillbrook's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Apostles Lutheran, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Hillbrook does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Apostles Lutheran, they will take on Mid-Peninsula at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons are facing the Dragons at the right time seeing as the Dragons are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
