Basketball Recap: Shepherd Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Shepherd hadn't done well against Joliet recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Shepherd Mustangs walked away with a 52-39 win over the Joliet J Hawks. Winning may never get old, but the Mustangs sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

The victory got Shepherd back to even at 5-5. As for Joliet, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shepherd will challenge Columbus at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Columbus' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games. As for Joliet, they will face off against Roundup at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Joliet is facing Roundup at the right time seeing as Roundup is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
