Basketball Recap: Hartsville Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Zaries Huggins and Derrion Gattison

Hartsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 52-36 bruising from the Darlington Falcons. The contest marked the Red Foxes' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Hartsville's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Derrion Gattison, who posted two points and three steals, and Zaries Huggins, who went 5 for 12 en route to 14 points. Those three steals gave Gattison a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Casey Hawkins, who scored four points.

Hartsville's record now sits at 6-16. As for Darlington, their victory bumped their record up to 13-9.
