Soccer Recap: Niles Comes Up Short

If Niles was feeling good fresh off their 5-1 takedown of Bangor on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vikings came up short against the Coldwater Cardinals on Thursday, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Niles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 288th, while Coldwater are ranked 54th).

Niles has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11-1 record this season. As for Coldwater, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-4-2.

As of now, neither Niles nor the Cardinals have any future games scheduled.
