Recap: Carl Hayden Community Falcons vs. Tolleson Wolverines
Even though the Tolleson Wolverines scored an imposing 58 points on Tuesday, the Carl Hayden Community Falcons still came out on top. Carl Hayden Community secured a 63-58 W over Tolleson. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Carl Hayden Community.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Carl Hayden Community to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tion Wright, who scored 13 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Prince Cash, who scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Tolleson had strong showings from Rico Blassingame, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds, and Jahlil Loyd, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds. Blassingame scored a full 25.9% of Tolleson's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Tyeshon Howard, who scored 3 points along with 7 rebounds.
Carl Hayden Community now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Tolleson, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Carl Hayden Community has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Gila Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on December 1st. Tolleson will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Sierra Linda at 7:00 p.m. on November 30th.
