Baseball Game Preview: Lake Ridge Eagles vs. Crowley Eagles

For the second straight game, Lake Ridge will face off against Crowley. We've got a battle between Eagles coming up. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lake Ridge has three straight wins, Crowley has eight straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Lake Ridge is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Crowley 11-1 on Tuesday. Lake Ridge not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 8, 2024.

Sean Wilson looked comfortable as he tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Jayde Austin was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Ethan Cardenas also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Lake Ridge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .645. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Crowley's defeat dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Lake Ridge, their record is now 6-9-3.
