Baseball Recap: Pana Takes a Loss

If Pana was riding high fresh off their 7-1 takedown of North Mac on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers lost 10-1 to the Litchfield Purple Panthers on Monday. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Purple Panthers earlier this season, when they won 10-9.

Easton Malisia made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Pana's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Litchfield, they pushed their record up to 20-9 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Pana will take on Shelbyville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rams will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Litchfield, they will face off against Hillsboro at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Purple Panthers are facing the Hiltoppers at the right time seeing as the Hiltoppers are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
