Petersburg is on a 13-game streak of home losses, Wrangell a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The two teams will face off on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Saturday, Petersburg came up short against Haines and fell 23-16. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Petersburg in their matchups with Haines: they've now lost six in a row.
Meanwhile, Wrangell was the victim of a rough 54-34 defeat at the hands of Metlakatla on Saturday.
Aubrey Wynne put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alana Harrison, who scored seven points.
Petersburg's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Wrangell, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
