Basketball Recap: Nelsonville-York Buckeyes vs. Logan Chieftains
Nelsonville-York lost against Logan back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Nelsonville-York Buckeyes fell 43-36 to the Logan Chieftains. The Buckeyes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Nelsonville-York's loss came despite strong showings from Madi Pidcock and Alayna Okulich. Pidcock went 5 of 9 en route to 17 points and seven rebounds, while Okulich posted ten points along with eight boards and three steals. What's more, Pidcock also posted a 56% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's posted since back in January of 2024.

Nelsonville-York's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Logan, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-11.
Nelsonville-York has already played their next game, a 69-39 victory against Wellston on the 27th. As for Logan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 53-17 defeat against Pickerington Central on the 28th.
