Game recap: Bennett High School Football Team takes down Sheridan

BENNETT, Colo. - Bennett (Colo.) put an additional 12 points on the board on top of its 60-point lead going into the fourth quarter to beat out Sheridan (Colo.) 72-0.

After taking the lead on a Caleb Copeland touchdown run in the first quarter, the Tigers led 47-0 at the half.

Bennett expanded its lead to 60 points entering the fourth quarter. BHS scored two times in the third, including once on a Andrew Beam touchdown run.

Tommy Tintorri and Copeland ran for a bunch of touchdowns for the Rams. Tintorri scored three touchdowns on the ground and Copeland added two as well.

The Tigers' most effective player was Tintorri. The senior caught one touchdown. He has now scored 16 touchdowns on the season.



Bennett had given up an average of 10.1 points prior to the contest.

A 45-16 Bennett victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.

The win was a nice bounce back for the Tigers, which lost to Kent Denver last week, 35-14.
