Volleyball Recap: Xavier Has No Trouble Against Green Bay East

Xavier won the last time they faced Green Bay East and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Hawks put the hurt on the Red Devils with a sharp 3-0 win.

The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 25-13, 25-19.

Among those leading the charge was Lily Renz, who had seven aces and three digs. Those seven aces gave her a new career-high. Bella Velasquez was another key player, getting five aces and three digs.

They weren't the only good servers: Xavier was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 22 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in ten consecutive contests.

Xavier's record is now 23-8. As for Green Bay East, they dropped their record down to 0-18 with the loss, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Xavier will take on Manitowoc Lincoln in a tournament on Saturday. As for Green Bay East, they will head out on the road to square off against Fox Valley Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
