Baseball Recap: Poughkeepsie Takes a Loss

Poughkeepsie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Gorton Wolves. The Pioneers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolves apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

Poughkeepsie's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Gorton, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Poughkeepsie will take on Roosevelt at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gorton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lincoln at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
