Basketball Recap: Hamilton Find Success

The Hamilton Lions narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Bruce Trojans 59-56.

Despite the loss, Bruce saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ayden Welch went 9-for-15 to rack up 23 points and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Welch has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jermaine Jackson, who shot 67% from the field on his way to 12 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Hamilton now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Bruce, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Hamilton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 68-35 loss against West Lowndes on the 9th. As for Bruce, they have also already played their next game, an 82-28 defeat against East Union on the 9th.
