Basketball Game Preview: South Gate Rams vs. Roosevelt Rough Riders

The South Gate Rams will venture away from home to square off against the Roosevelt Rough Riders at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. South Gate has now lost 12 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 6.

On Wednesday, South Gate was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 42-37 to Huntington Park.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 22-22 at halftime, Roosevelt was not quite South East's equal in the second half on Friday. They took a 60-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jaguars. The Rough Riders' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

South Gate's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Roosevelt, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.

South Gate came up short against Roosevelt when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 69-57. Can South Gate avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
