Volleyball Recap: Monroe Comes Up Short

Monroe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Chavez Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on March 3rd.

Monroe's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Chavez, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monroe will head out to take on Poly at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Poly will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Monroe surely won't give up without a fight. As for Chavez, they will venture away from home to challenge Arleta at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
