Millennium dropped down to 7-11 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 13-1 to the Venture Academy Mustangs. The Falcons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 8-2.

Millennium saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Edward Moschetti, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

As for Venture Academy, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-11. That looming 13-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

On Venture Academy's side, Rafael Vega made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. Vega has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Angelo Carranza, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tanner Gantt, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Millennium is set to take on their familiar foe River Islands at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Venture Academy will face off against rival Turlock Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
