Archbishop McNicholas extended their winning streak  to seven  on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 15-7 in the process. They never let the New Richmond Lions get on the board and left with  a   4-0  victory. That's two games straight that the Rockets have won by  exactly four  runs.
Archbishop McNicholas got a great performance from  Joey Albert as he  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched. Albert has been consistent recently: he hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side, Archbishop McNicholas' win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Nate Colyer, who  went 2-for-4 with two  doubles and one  run. Those  two  doubles gave  Colyer a new career-high.
 Archbishop McNicholas  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as New Richmond struck out ten times.
As for New Richmond,  they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 7-14. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by  exactly four  runs.
 On New Richmond's side,  Ethan Taggart spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned  (and one unearned) runs on eight hits.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Archbishop McNicholas will face off against Princeton at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for New Richmond, they will square off against Mariemont at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
