Sparks hasn't had much luck against Truckee recently, but that could start to change  on Wednesday. Sparks will challenge Truckee at 1:00  p.m. After  the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents,  one won't be so lucky on Wednesday.
Sparks is headed in fresh off scoring the most  runs they have   all season. They blew past Mineral County 11-1 on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Railroaders considering their one-run performance the  game before.
 Tayte Thomas made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out six batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits. Those  three  hits allowed gave  him a new career-low. He was also big at the plate,  scoring three  runs and  stealing three bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances. Those  three  runs gave  him a new career-high.

 In other batting news, Sparks let  Max Hendrix and  Jaxin Burley run wild. Hendrix  scored a  run while going 3-for-4, while  Burley  scored two  runs while going 1-for-3. Those  two  runs gave  Burley a new career-high.  Joesel Alvarez also deserves some recognition as  he  got his first  hit of the season.
 Sparks  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .576. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Truckee entered their tilt with Sparks on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Railroaders with a sharp  15-1 victory. That looming  15-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Wolverines yet this  season.
  Logan Arata was  incredible,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs. Truckee is undefeated when  Arata posts three or  more  RBI, but 2-5 otherwise.  Jackson Wicks was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with two  runs, one  triple,  and two  RBI.
 Sparks' first  win this season bumped their record up to 1-11. As for Truckee,  the  victory  got them back to even at 5-5.
 Sparks suffered a grim  15-1 defeat to Truckee  in their previous meeting  on Saturday. Can Sparks avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
