Recap: Hillsboro/Central Valley H-CV Burros vs. Ada-Borup Cougars
It was a good run, but the Hillsboro/Central Valley H-CV Burros unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 71-62 defeat to Ada-Borup. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hillsboro/Central Valley in their matchups with Ada-Borup: they've now lost four in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ada-Borup to victory, but perhaps none more so than Austin McCraven, who scored 15 points along with six assists and six rebounds. That's the first time this season that McCraven scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Mason Larson, who scored 13 points.
Hillsboro/Central Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Ada-Borup, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hillsboro/Central Valley will take on Wahpeton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Wahpeton's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Ada-Borup, they will be playing at home against Polk County West [Climax/Fisher] at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Polk County West [Climax/Fisher] is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
