Baseball Recap: Pinnacle Classical Academy Extends Winning Streak to Five

Pinnacle Classical Academy came tearing into Monday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past The Master's Academy Lions 15-5. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by seven runs or more this season.

Tyler Johnson made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Johnson was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played.

In other batting news, Pinnacle Classical Academy got a massive performance out of Keegan McIntyre, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three hits gave McIntyre a new career-high. Holden Austin was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Pinnacle Classical Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .457. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as The Master's Academy only posted a batting average of .280.

Pinnacle Classical Academy pushed their record up to 10-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for The Master's Academy, the loss snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 11-3 record.

Coincidentally, Pinnacle Classical Academy and The Master's Academy will both be playing Community Christian Academy the next time they take the field. The Eagles will host the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Lions will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
