Hoggard was the 5-3 winner over North Brunswick when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Hoggard Vikings fell just short of the North Brunswick Scorpions by a score of 4-2 on Friday. The Vikings' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Hoggard saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Jeffrey, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Hoggard's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for North Brunswick, they pushed their record up to 4-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hoggard will host West Brunswick at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hoggard is facing West Brunswick at the right time seeing as West Brunswick is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for North Brunswick, they will be playing at home against Topsail at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
