Baseball Game Preview: Hill Country Christian Rams vs. St. Paul Cardinals

Hill Country Christian is 0-7 against St. Paul since April of 2016 but things could change on Tuesday. The Rams will venture away from home to face off against the Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. Hill Country Christian has given up an average of 12.5 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Hill Country Christian is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They came up short against Bracken Christian, falling 15-0.

Meanwhile, St. Paul fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Bracken Christian on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 5-3. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

CJ Fogle was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. Fogle was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one double.

In other batting news, Clay Reed was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Brodey Biehunko also deserves some recognition as he got his first hits of the season.

Hill Country Christian's record now sits at 2-10. As for St. Paul, their record is now 3-10.

Hill Country Christian suffered a grim 16-6 defeat to St. Paul when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
