Basketball Recap: Los Banos Comes Up Short

After flying high against Orestimba last Tuesday, Los Banos came back down to earth. The contest between the Los Banos Tigers and the Atwater Falcons didn't end well, with the Los Banos Tigers falling 64-46. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 465th, while the Falcons are ranked 93rd).

Los Banos' defeat dropped their record down to 13-3. As for Atwater, they pushed their record up to 18-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Los Banos will host Merced at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Atwater, they will be playing at home against Golden Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Atwater knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Golden Valley likes a good challenge.
