Volleyball Recap: Six Straight Home Victories for Vernon

The home team had won the previous two meetings between Vernon and Chatham, and Vernon kept the tradition alive. The Vikings sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Cougars on Monday. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 2-0 win back in April.

Vernon pushed their record up to 9-7 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Chatham, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-13.

Coming up, Vernon will take on Morristown in a tournament on Wednesday. The Vikings are facing the Colonials at the right time seeing as the Colonials are stuck on a three-game losing streak. Chatham does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
