Basketball Recap: Gabriel Franco and Keavon Bailey - HS Secure Win for Concord Christian Academy

Concord Christian Academy won the last time they faced Chestertown Christian Academy and things went their way on Thursday too. The Concord Christian Academy Minutemen secured a 52-47 W over the Chestertown Christian Academy Patriots. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Minutemen.

Leading Concord Christian Academy to victory were Keavon Bailey - HS and Gabriel Franco. Bailey - HS went 11-for-18 en route to 23 points and eight boards, while Franco posted 14 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals. The dominant performance gave Franco a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Tim Praveen - HS, who earned nine points along with six rebounds and five assists.

Chestertown Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Brian Lloyd, who scored 18 points. He has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 13 times he's played. Another player making a difference was John Stoltzfus, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards.

Concord Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Chestertown Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.
