The Gilroy Mustangs will venture away from home to square off against the Branham Bruins at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gilroy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Sophia Jones, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.

Gilroy's record is now 13-6. As for Branham, their record now sits at 9-10.

Gilroy came out on top in a nail-biter against Branham when the teams last played back in March, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
