After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Joseph City, Williams was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Bagdad Sultans as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Sultans recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Williams never let Bagdad on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-23, 25-14.

Leading Williams to victory were Kenzie Orozco and Daisy Vazquez. Orozco had 11 digs and one assist, while Vazquez had five aces and three digs. Those five aces gave Vazquez a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Williams was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

The win got Williams back to even at 4-4. As for Bagdad, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.

Williams wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against BASIS Flagstaff on the 19th. As for Bagdad, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Desert Heights Prep on the 19th.
