Heartland Christian entered their tilt with Frontier on Saturday with nine consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with ten. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 71-67 W against the Frontier Cougars.

Despite the defeat, Frontier saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jacob Bowersock went 10-for-17 en route to 28 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists. Bowersock's afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was True King, who posted 12 points and eight boards.

Heartland Christian's win bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Frontier, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 11-8.

Looking ahead, Heartland Christian will head out on the road to square off against South Range at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Heartland Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 18 matchups. As for Frontier, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Bridgeport at 7:00 p.m. Frontier is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.9 points per game this season.
