Softball Recap: Cameron Takes a Loss

Cameron fell victim to Northwestern and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The Comets have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Cameron saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brylee Viltz, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. Viltz has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

Cameron's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Northwestern, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Tigers beat Cameron by a score of 2-0 later that day.
