Baseball Recap: Oakland Starts Season with Win at Home

Oakland gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Tullahoma Wildcats a 1-0 shutout. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Patriots have posted since April 10, 2024.

Oakland saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Carver, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oakland will take on Mount Juliet at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tullahoma, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on The Webb School at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
