Flag Football Recap: Joliet West's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

The Joliet West Tigers were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 24-18 to the Naperville Central Redhawks.

When it comes to explaining why Joliet West lost, don't look at Londyn Clemons. Despite the final result, she rushed for 179 yards and three TDs while picking up 9.4 yards per carry. Clemons' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked her fourth straight game with at least 155 rushing yards. Ella Featherston helped out on the ground, rushing for 98 yards.

Joliet West's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-5. As for Naperville Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Joliet West has already played their next contest, a 46-0 win against Joliet Central on the 2nd. As for Naperville Central, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 39-0 victory against Andrew on the 2nd.
