Basketball Recap: Flippin Bobcats vs. Green Forest Tigers
The Flippin Bobcats had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took down Green Forest 76-59 on Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Loss or not, Green Forest got some senior leadership from Brayden Compton and Sebastian Holsted. Compton scored 16 points along with eight rebounds, while Holsted. scored 16 points along with six rebounds. Hesten Maybee was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Even though they lost, Green Forest were working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. This was only their 16th loss (out of 21 games) when they've passed the ball that well.
Flippin's win bumped their record up to 18-14. As for Green Forest, they dropped their record down to 5-21 with that loss, which was their tenth straight on the road.
Flippin will challenge the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Green Forest, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Tigers at 8:00 p.m. Lead Hill has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
