Baseball Game Preview: Roosevelt Presidents vs. Chester Hambletonians

The Roosevelt Presidents will head out to square off against the Chester Hambletonians at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Chester took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Roosevelt, who comes in off a win.

Roosevelt's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Pine Plains. Considering the Presidents' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Meanwhile, Chester came up short against Pine Bush on Tuesday, falling 11-4. The Hambletonians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Roosevelt has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Chester, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.

Roosevelt was able to grind out a solid victory over Chester in their previous matchup back in April, winning 9-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Presidents since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
