Basketball Game Preview: Northeast Eagles vs. Dickson County Cougars

Northeast is 0-3 against Dickson County since December of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The two teams will face off at 6:00 p.m. without much rest, having both just played. That contest will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Qimara Summers and Keely Webb.

Northeast is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Thursday. They took a blow against Northwest, falling 68-28.

Meanwhile, Dickson County humbled West Creek with a 66-28 victory. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 24 points or more this season.

Dickson County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 14-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.2 points over those games. As for Northeast, their loss dropped their record down to 3-21.

Northeast was dealt a bruising 67-30 defeat at the hands of Dickson County in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Webb, who dropped a double-double with 30 points and ten boards.
