Basketball Recap: Grace Academy Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Grace Academy entered their tilt with Grace Christian School on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They took down the Grace Christian School Kings 66-50. The win was all the more spectacular given the Lions' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 283rd in North Carolina, while the Kings are ranked 117th in Virginia).

Grace Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Evan Buslovich, who posted 20 points in addition to five assists and five boards. Buslovich's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Payne, who had 22 points and five rebounds.

Grace Academy's win bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Grace Christian School, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-4 record this season.

Grace Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 100-69 loss against Parris Prep Academy on the 11th. As for Grace Christian School, they will welcome St. Michael the Archangel at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
