Basketball Recap: Eight Straight Home Victories for Greenwood

Greenwood hadn't done well against Woodmont recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Greenwood Eagles took down the Woodmont Wildcats 46-32. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Greenwood was led to victory by Danielle Oliver and Tykirea Johnson. Oliver went 6 for 15 en route to 15 points and five steals, while Johnson went 9 of 15 on her way to 22 points and six boards. The matchup was Oliver's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Camryn Fuller also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Greenwood's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-5. As for Woodmont, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-8 record.

Greenwood has already played their next game (against Easley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Woodmont didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 44-34 win against Crestwood on the 18th.
