Soccer Recap: New Summerfield Plays to a Tie

For the first time this season, New Summerfield was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor the Gladewater Bears could gain the upper hand on Monday so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Christian Hernandez was the only thing that stood between New Summerfield and a shutout considering he scored both of New Summerfield's goals, bringing his season total up to four goals.

With that draw, New Summerfield's record moves to 2-0-1. As for Gladewater, they moved theirs to 1-1-1.

New Summerfield will be playing at home against San Augustine at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gladewater, they will take on Carlisle at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
