Volleyball Recap: Ironwood Ridge Comes Up Short

Ironwood Ridge lost against Buchanan back in September of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Nighthawks fell 2-0 to the Bears. The Nighthawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Ashlyn Quiri paced Ironwood Ridge's offense, picking up 11 kills. Quiri got some help from Lydia Litkenhus and her 13 assists. Litkenhus was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Ironwood Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Buchanan, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-5 record this season.

Ironwood Ridge has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Archbishop Mitty on the 4th. As for Buchanan, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against San Marcos on the 3rd.
