Softball Preview: Fairhaven Blue Devils vs. West Bridgewater Wildcats

The Fairhaven Blue Devils are taking a road trip to take on the West Bridgewater Wildcats at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are still undefeated after five games, but that won't be the case come Wednesday.

Fairhaven came out on top against Durfee on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive nine-run fifth inning. The Blue Devils never let the Hilltoppers get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. That's two games straight that the Blue Devils have won by exactly 12 runs.

Brianna Pierce made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
