Lake Orion lost to Adams back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Dragons came out on top against the Highlanders by a score of 2-0.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Lake Orion was: they took both sets by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-14.

Izzy Lawhorn paced Lake Orion's offense, picking up five kills. Lawhorn got some help from Sarah Traynoff and her seven assists. Lawhorn was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Lake Orion's victory bumped their record up to 4-1-1. As for Adams, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Orion will challenge Notre Dame Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Adams, they will square off against Detroit Country Day at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
