Softball Recap: Thousand Oaks Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Thousand Oaks dropped their record down to 18-7-1 on Thursday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins on the road. They lost 11-1 to the Agoura Chargers. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Lancers, who until this match were averaging 3.08 runs allowed.

Madison Jauregui was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

As for Agoura, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by six runs or more this season.

On Agoura's side, Aly Chavez spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits. Chavez has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Mia Gomez was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one home run and five RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Amaya Del Olmo, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and two runs.
